How to Configure Service Categories & Activities

When to use this guide

Use this guide when setting up the services your company offers, including one-time services, recurring plans, and per-activity pricing.

Prerequisites

  • Admin permissions required.

Step-by-step

Step 1 — Open Services Module

  1. Go to Services.
  2. Click New Service Category.

Step 2 — Add a Service Category

Enter:

  • Name (e.g., “Regular Cleaning”, “Deep Cleaning”, “HVAC Repair”)
  • Description
  • Default price
  • Duration (optional)

Step 3 — Add Activities (Checklist Items)

Activities define what will be done in each job.

Examples:

  • Clean bathrooms
  • Vacuum floors
  • Replace AC filter
  • Mop kitchen
  • Clean windows
  • Deep kitchen detailing

Each activity can include:

  • Description
  • Price (optional)
  • Estimated minutes

Step 4 — Save Service & Activities

Click Save Service.


Step 5 — Link Services to Jobs

When creating a job:

  • Choose the service category
  • Select activities
  • Adjust pricing if needed

Common mistakes

❌ Activities not showing in job creation

  • Service saved without activities.
  • Page cached—refresh needed.

❌ Wrong pricing

  • Custom pricing overrides default pricing (check property settings).
