Services
Services
The Services configuration in DOP is made of two parts:
- Service Categories
- Service Activities
This configuration is essential to:
- Create jobs (Jobs)
- Generate invoices (manual or automatic)
- Standardize prices and times
- Organize the Schedule
- Feed payroll hour calculations (hours, drive time, tips — the system does not process payroll payments)
1. Where to configure Services
Routes in the system:
- Menu → Sales → Service Categories
- Menu → Sales → Service Activities
2. Service Categories
Service Categories are used to group similar services.
Examples:
- Residential Cleaning
- Vacation Rental Cleaning
- Maintenance Services
- Deep Cleaning Packages
This keeps your service list organized and professional.
The main view shows:
- Name
- Description
- New button
Create a new Service Category

Go to Sales → Service Categories

Click New

Fill the form:
- Name – e.g.
Residential Cleaning - Description – short description of the type of services included
- Name – e.g.

Save

3. Service Activities
Service Activities represent the real services you sell to customers.
Examples:
- Maid Service
- Housekeeping
- Deep Cleaning
- Airbnb Turnover
- Carpet Cleaning
They are used in:
- Job creation
- Billing
- Schedule
- Payroll (calculation)
Each activity must belong to a previously created category.
Create a new Service Activity
- Go to Sales → Service Activities
- Click New
- Fill the form:
Activity Details

Name
- Name of the service (e.g.
Maid Services)
- Name of the service (e.g.
-
Time (optional)
- Estimated duration in hours
- Helps the Schedule and avoids overlapping jobs

Amount
- Price of the service
- Used in Jobs and Invoices

Description
- Additional details about the service
Assign Category
- Service
- Select the category this activity belongs to
- Example:
Maid Service → Residential Cleaning

4. Automatic grouping
The Service Activities view is automatically grouped by category, which makes managing prices and times easier.
5. Where Services are used in the system
Once created, services are used in:
- ✔ Job creation
- ✔ Manual or automatic billing
- ✔ Specific rates per property
- ✔ Schedule and dispatching
- ✔ Payroll (only hour/drive/tip calculation – no payroll payments)
6. Important rules
- You must create categories before activities
- Each activity belongs to only one category
- Price and time can be edited at any moment
- Services can be associated with properties to set custom prices
